BS EN ISO 1938-1:2015 BRITISH STANDARD National foreword This British Standard is the UK implementation of EN ISO 1938-1:2015. It partially supersedes BS 969:2008. As detailed in the ISO Foreword, iSO 1938-1:2014 cancels and replaces ISO/R 1938:1971.The ISO Foreword further details that ISO 1938:2014 does not include requirements for setting plug gauges and setting ring gauges which were dealt with in ISO/R 1938:1971. However, as the UK committee did not implement ISO/R 1938:1971, attention is drawn to the fact that BS 4064 and BS 4065 apply for plain setting rings. The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee TDW/4, Technical Product Realization.
