The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through IsO technical committees. Each member bodyinterestedinasubjectforwhichatechnicalcommitteehasbeenestablishedhas the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, govern- mental and non-governmental, in liaison with iso, also take part in the work.
